In order to increase service and anticipate future building developments, Olivenhain Municipal Water District recently designed the Artesian Road Pipeline, calling upon IEC to perform inspection and construction management services.

The project consisted of five parallel pipelines including 24-to-27-inch welded steel pipe, 10-to-16-inch PVC pressure pipe, one sewer force main, and 10-inch HDPE pipe, for a total of nearly 10,000 linear feet of pipe. A portion of this pipeline includes 180 linear feet of jack-and-bore steel casing. Coordination with the District and preparation of materials helped to complete multiple tie-ins simultaneously. SDCWA permits had to be acquired and onsite water ponds adjacent to jack-and-boring created an additional need for SWPPP management.
