IEC was hired by the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority to provide project oversight of the FAA construction management team to replace the runway lighting system at San Diego’s Lindbergh International Airport. This was a pilot project developed by the Federal Airport Authority. The project included rock-saw trenching, conduit wiring, and lighting installation. Trenching was backfilled with one-hour set high early concrete backfill to allow for immediate runway openings.
