Wells 9, 10, and 11

IEC designed new wellhead facilities for Wells 9, 10, and 11 to increase the reliability for the City to pump groundwater to its Mission Basin Ground Water Purification Facility (MBGPF). This facility treats brackish water from the aquifer and serves several of the City's potable water pressure zones. The wellhead facilities include pumping facilities, electrical power distribution and control (SCADA), standby power, piping and surge protection, and transmission facilities to theMBGPF. Design of one of the wellheads was fast-tracked in order to allow the City to take beneficial use of an existing supply well that is expected to produce up to 2,000 gallons per minute.

New wells tied into the existing treatment plant.

• Expedited design to meet accelerated schedule

• Coordinated Wellhead facilities with proposed City Fire Station site

• Integrated collection piping into MBGPF yard piping

• Federal Aviation Agency (FAA) permitting required for two of the wellheads due to proximity to Oceanside Municipal Airport

• Designed two miles of transmission main
